The American Judo Hapkido Institute features two large training spaces, a 2400 sq. ft main mat area, and a second 800 sq. ft practice space. Both mat areas use state-of-the-art training surfaces. In addition to classroom space, there is a lobby with a retail area, and separate men’s and women’s changing rooms. Our Waynesburg school offers plenty of free parking, day and evening classes, and numerous programs such as children and adult classes and the Te-Geri fitness program.

Greene Academy of Art is housed in the first school of higher learning west of the Allegheny Mountains. The academy was open from 1790 to 1893. The building was restored in the 1970’s and then it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Many Greene County Greats attended the academy. Albert B. Cummins a politician who was an Iowa Governor and a United states Senate member representing Iowa. A.B. Miller was one of the first graduates of Waynesburg College and president of the college from 1859-1899.
The academy holds various events throughout the year. They have free art classes that include painting, scrap-booking, crafting and more. They also hold craft shows and other bigger events throughout the year.

In Motion offers all types of dance and fitness classes for all ages. They offer dance instruction for ages 3-18 in ballet, acrobatics, jazz, hip-hop, tap, contemporary and pointe. Every year they have auditions for solos and competition team. They attend 2-4 competitions a season. They have a dance recital to culminate the dance year in early June each year. In addition to dance, they also have an extensive fitness program. They have a circuit program by LifeFitness that clients can use for exercise on their own time. They also offer group fitness classes 6 days a week in a wide variety of areas. Many of their instructors are certified personal trainers.

Owned by Jennifer Adamson, PA Mug Company is dedicated to creating one of a kind handmade mugs using the traditional wheel for forming methods and glazing is done by hand. Featured local artists are represented in the gallery. There are different experiences offered throughout the year. A “Pottery Wheel Experience” was offered throughout the month of February. At Christmas time the whole family could paint their own ornaments.
