Your Inside Look at the 2026 Miss Rain Day Pageant
The spotlight will shine on ten young ladies from across Greene County as they compete in the 48th annual Miss Rain Day Scholarship Pageant, proudly sponsored by Rain Day Scholarship Inc. The event will be held on Sunday July 26th, beginning at 4pm at the Waynesburg Central High School Auditorium. Tickets will be sold online to the public beginning at 10am on Wednesday, June 22 at www.cur8.com.
Contestants will be judged on the basis of personal interview, sportswear, talent, and evening gown competitions. Awards will be presented to those with top scores in these areas as well as Miss Personality, the Kelly Smotzer Memorial Award, the Bryn Patton Smile Award, the Spirit Award and the Scholastic Achievement Award.
In addition to competition-based awards, several honors recognize contestants for their unique contributions, personal reflections, and commitment to serving others. A Rain Maker Award will be presented to the contestant who collects the most sponsorships, while the John O’Hara Award will honor the contestant who composes the best essay on what Rain Day means to them. The Remo C. Bertugli Award will also be presented, recognizing the contestant whose essay best reflects how a volunteering experience has impacted their life. A service-focused award, sponsored by the Ray Family, will honor the candidate who presents the strongest service initiative and demonstrates the potential to make a meaningful impact within the community.

2026 Contestants
Contestant 1: Meah Branham
Meah is the 17-year-old daughter of Kassie Branham of Bobtown. This fall she will be a freshman at West Virginia University. She will be performing a vocal selection.
Contestant 2: Eilidh Batchelder
Eilidh is the 17-year-old daughter of William and Xela Batchelder of Waynesburg. This fall she will be a junior at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 3: Jaira Withrow
Jaira is the 16-year-old daughter of Jennifer and Jason Withrow of Waynesburg. This fall she will be a senior at Waynesburg Central High School. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 4: Sophie Batchelder
Sophie is the 15-year-old daughter of William and Xela Batchelder of Waynesburg. This fall she will be a sophomore at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 5: Jillissa Yeater
Jillissa is the 15-year-old daughter of Tyson and Tracy Yeater of Aleppo. This fall she will be a junior at West Greene High School. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 6: Sophia Faddis
Sophia is the 15-year-old daughter of Melissa and Timothy Faddis of Fredericktown. This fall she will be a junior at Jefferson-Morgan High School. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 7: Isabella Wise
Isabella is the 16-year-old daughter of Brian and Heather Wise of Mather. This fall she will be a junior at Jefferson-Morgan High School. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 8: Sienna Stoneking
Sienna is the 16-year-old daughter of Amanda and Daniel Stoneking of Carmichaels. This fall she will be a junior at Carmichaels Area High School. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 9: Isabella Walker
Isabella is the 15-year-old daughter of Paul and Tina Walker of Carmichaels. This fall she will be a sophomore at Mount Moriah Christian School. She will be performing a dance selection.
Contestant 10: Brooklyn Burns
Brooklyn is the 17-year-old daughter of Nyle and Scarlett Burns of Graysville. This fall she will be a freshman at West Virginia University. She will be performing a dance selection
Miss Rain Day 2025 Camryn Hawfield
Camryn Hawfield, Miss Rain Day 2025, is the 18-year-old daughter of Tim and Betsy Hawfield of Waynesburg. Camryn is the older sister of Haley Hawfield.
She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Waynesburg Central High School where she was involved in Leo Club, Hope Squad, Spanish Club, Youth Alive, the Raider Rose, FFA, president of Art Club, Student Council, Alpha Beta and Prom Committee.
She is the first alumna of her dance studio, Waynesburg Arts Academy. This fall, Camryn will attend Kent State University to pursue a degree in Fashion Design while participating in the Honors College. She is also an active member of First Baptist Church of Waynesburg.
As Miss Rain Day, her community service initiative centered on encouraging volunteerism and advocating for child safety in partnership with Growing Up Greene. She proudly supported the organization’s winter coat drive and organized a fundraising walk to help provide boots for children in the community, demonstrating her commitment to making a positive impact.
Camryn was honored to be chosen as this year’s Miss Rain Day. In addition to the title of Miss Rain Day 2025, Camryn was awarded the Remo C. Bertugli Award, the Abby Ray Dedication to Service Award, the Rain Maker Award, the Pageantry Spirit Award, the Miss Photogenic Award, the Scholastic Achievement Award, the Top Evening Gown Award and the Top Interview Award. As Miss Rain Day, she also was the recipient of the Waynesburg University Yellow Jacket Scholarship Award.
Crown Bearer: Josephine Rupert
Josephine Rupert is the 4-year-old daughter of Kelcee and Jordan Rupert of Waynesburg and is the beloved big sister of her brother Caleb.
She enjoys dancing and singing with her mom at church and participates in the Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Church of Waynesburg. One day, Josephine wishes to become the first ballerina zookeeper which involves feeding and petting all the animals while wearing a tutu.
