Mystery Puzzle #2
Partner: Greene Connections Archives Project
Archival methods and digitization have been applied to create a free, local and family history web site for Greene County, Pennsylvania at www.GreeneConnections.com. The Greene Connections Archives Project now includes over 10,000 digital images and continues to grow.
In addition to actual photographs, the digital records include unique documents such as family Bibles, Justice of the Peace dockets, church and minister ledgers, letters, and diaries. All archival items are fully documented with captions, contributor credits, provenance (ownership history), and are navigable through the tags and search options provided by the PastPerfect Museum Software.
The archives have been shared by families, individuals, and local repositories such as the Cornerstone Genealogical Society, Greene County Historical Society, and Waynesburg University Paul R. Stewart Museum.
