Carmichaels Covered Bridge
The Carmichaels Bridge is a Queenpost truss design built in 1889. It has vertical board and batten siding, a gable roof covered with raised-seam tin and abutments of cut stone and mortar reinforced with concrete. One of the abutments has been reinforced with concrete and additional diagonal timbers reinforce the truss.
The bridge was rehabilitated in 1998 and has been a site of the annual Covered Bridge Festival since its inception in 1970.
