White Covered Bridge
While a 1990 state survey determined the White Covered Bridge was built in 1900, other sources, including a local resident born in 1911, clearly remember it being built around 1919. White Covered Bridge has vertical tongue-and-groove siding, a gable roof covered with sheet metal and abutments of cut stone and mortar.
It is the longest covered bridge in Greene County at 77 feet and 6 inches, and has an exceptionally high queenpost structure with a clearance of 17 feet and 6 inches. There are eight steel beams to support the structure.
The White Covered Bridge has been an annual Covered Bridge Festival site since 2002.
