Ryerson Station State Park
Ryerson Station State Park in Graysville provides ample opportunities to reconnect with nature and explore the scenic landscapes of Greene County. This 1,164-acre park offers a diverse array of recreational activities, including hiking, fishing, hunting, picnicking, and both summer and winter programs. Thirteen miles of trails wind through mature forests, wetlands, evergreen plantations, open fields, and an old cemetery, catering to hikers of all skill levels. Picnic areas are conveniently located throughout the park, and visitors can cool off in the newly renovated swimming pool and splash pad during the warmer months.
The campground offers a variety of accommodations to suit different needs. There are five year-round camping cottages with electric heat, bunk beds, a porch, picnic table, and fire ring. Additionally, there are three deluxe two-room cabins with an electric range, microwave, cabinets, refrigerator, tables/benches, and ceiling fans. Campers can also choose from among tent and RV (full or no hookups) campsites. Each campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table. All campsites and cabins have access to modern, year-round restrooms with showers.
Cole’s Greene Acres Farm
Cole’s Greene Acres Farm offers an escape into Greene County’s bucolic countryside. Cole’s Greene Acres Farm is an 800+ family homestead in Holbrook offering rural getaways in western Greene County. The farm offers several overnight accommodations, from primitive camping to multi-bedroom cabins — you’ll find lodgings that are exactly the level of ‘roughing it’ you’re comfortable with.
The Red Onion Cabin has three bedrooms, a full bath, basement laundry, and a living/dining area wood-burning stove. Rustic Hillside Cabin offers two bedrooms, a full bath basement laundry, and a living/dining area wood-burning stove. The country Highlander Apartment has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a laundry room. Each of these locations offers a fully stocked kitchen and coffee center, a living/dining area with multiple entertainment options, including television and board games and includes one dozen farm fresh eggs and five K-cup coffee pods of the farm’s own roast.
The Saloon and Boarding House is a two-story section of the Western barn with an upstairs bedroom and a downstairs living area with a coffee center, microwave, and hotplate. The boarding house shares a bathhouse available a short walk away.
If you’re looking for something a little closer to nature, they offer primitive campsites with fire rings to pitch your tent and spend the night outdoors. They also offer RV sites with water, sewage, and electric connections.
Burns RV Park
If Ryerson Station State Park is all full up, or you’d like to stay somewhere a short distance from the park itself, Burns RV Park in Graysville is conveniently located 21 miles off Interstate 79 and just half a mile from Ryerson Station State Park. Open year-round, the park features 20 RV sites that are fully equipped with water, sewage and electricity. Wireless internet is also available.

Ready to head out for a golf holiday and want to be as close as you get to the golf course? Lakeside R.V. Park at Rohanna’s Golf Course in Waynesburg is within walking distance of Rohanna’s Golf Course and attached restaurant. Each of the 30-spots includes easy access to hook-ups and amenities.
Mason-Dixon Historical Park
The 295-acre Mason-Dixon Historical Park in Core, West Virginia, sits along the Pennsylvania-West Virginia border. The park is home to parts of the Mason-Dixon Line, created when Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon surveyed the area to settle a longstanding boundary dispute. Besides its historic attraction, the park is home to other facilities, including pavilions, the red barn, ball field, playground, a cabin, and miles of trails that wander through both Greene and Monongalia counties. Many of the park’s facilities are available for rental all year-round, including the cabin.
Fisher Cabin is a rustic log cabin on the park grounds. Warmed by the wood-burning stove, Fisher Cabin is rustic and cozy. It is a park favorite for romantic getaways, but the cabin can sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children for small family outings as well. The cabin comes with a full-size bed, set of twin bunk beds, bedroom furniture, two rocking chairs, a wood-burning stove with wood, electricity, microwave, and mini-fridge. Outside, you’ll find a picnic table, charcoal grill, and potable water spigot. The cabin is just a short walk to the restrooms that house a toilet and sink only. Currently, there are no shower facilities on the property.
