America’s 250th: The Tiny Art Show

Flenniken Public Library invites artists of all ages and skill levels to participate in America’s 250th: The Tiny Art Show. Create a unique 4″ x 4″ canvas showcasing what America means to you and be part of a community exhibit honoring this historic milestone.
Canvases are available beginning June 1 and must be returned by August 1. The completed artwork will be displayed August 3–31, with winners announced September 4.
Participants can enter in one of three age categories—ages 0–11, 12–17, and 18 & over. Entry is $5 per canvas, and first-place winners in each category will receive a $25 prize, along with ribbons awarded for first, second, and third place.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just looking for a fun creative challenge, this is your chance to make a big statement on a tiny canvas!

America 250 Poster Contest

GreeneScene Magazine is inviting local artists and students to participate in the America 250 Poster Contest, creating original artwork inspired by the theme “America 250: Our History, Our Home, Our Future.” Participants are encouraged to highlight the people, places, history, and spirit that make Greene County special.
The contest is open to three age divisions—ages 5–10, 11–15, and 16 & over. Entries must be original artwork created on 22″ x 28″ poster board and may not include AI-generated or copyrighted images.
Posters must be submitted to GreeneScene Magazine by July 30, 2026. Winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, theme, visual impact, and community pride. Prizes include a $250 Best Overall Award, $100 for each division winner, and honorable mention recognition.
Selected artwork will be showcased at The Denny House throughout August, giving participants the opportunity to share their vision of America’s past, present, and future with the community.

You’re Invited: Bells Across PA Unveiling Ceremony in Greene County

Bells Across PA is part of the America250PA art series celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. Each county is represented by a locally painted, three-foot fiberglass bell that showcases its unique history. Greene County’s bell, sponsored by FirstEnergy and painted by local artist Danielle Nyland, will be unveiled at an official ceremony on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Greene County Historical Society.
