Waynesburg Lions Club Park

A 21-acre park with pavilions, a little league ball field, and playground area. The outdoor amphitheater holds free music concerts on Tuesday evenings beginning in June and concluding in September. LEARN MORE

Greene River Trail

12 miles from campus to Rices Landing Trailhead or 17 miles from campus to Jessop Boat Club Trailhead

A 7-mile trail that runs adjacent to the Upper Monongahela Water Trail providing a tranquil view of the river for its users. The trail was designed to accommodate walking, jogging, and bicycling on smooth crushed gravel. LEARN MORE

Ryerson Station State Park

The 1,164 acre park features a 35-site campground and cottages. Hiking trails traverse across mature forests, wet valley bottoms, evergreen plantations, and fields in ecological succession for 13 miles. LEARN MORE

Mason-Dixon Historical Park

20 miles from campus

The 295-acres of meadow and woodland stretch across the state line commemorating the great achievement of Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon. Hike to the top of Brown’s Hill to find the last marker set by Mason and Dixon that officially ended their survey in 1767. The park features hiking trails, ball field, cabins, large red barn, pavilions, and playground. LEARN MORE

Warrior Trail

20 miles from campus to Greensboro Trailhead

A 67-mile trail that follows ridge tops for most of its length offering some of Greene County’s most spectacular views. The trail begins at Greensboro on the Monongahela River (near the Ice Plant restaurant) and ends just south of Moundsville, West Virginia on the Ohio River. LEARN MORE
