The 48th annual Miss Rain Day Scholarship Pageant, a beloved tradition in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, will take place on Sunday, July 26th at the Waynesburg Central High School auditorium. This prestigious event showcases the intelligence and talent of exceptional young women from the local community as they vie for the esteemed title of Miss Rain Day.

About Rain Day Scholarship Inc.

Rain Day Scholarship Inc. invites applications each spring for the annual Miss Rain Day Scholarship Pageant, a longstanding tradition that honors achievement, poise, and community involvement. The pageant is open to girls between the ages of 14 and 18 as of July 29 (Rain Day) who reside in Greene County.

Contestants will take part in a variety of enriching activities leading up to the pageant, including a dinner and theater trip, a community service project, rehearsals, photo shoots, and participation in the Rain Day Festival. These experiences are designed to foster personal growth and community engagement.

During the competition, contestants will be judged in four key areas: personal interview, sportswear, talent, and evening gown. In addition to the overall title, several scholarship savings bonds will be awarded in categories such as Miss Photogenic, Miss Personality, Rain Maker, Kelly Smotzer Memorial, Remo Bertugli Memorial, John O’Hara, Top Talent, Evening Gown, Sportswear, and Personal Interview.

The chosen Miss Rain Day, along with her runners-up, will serve as guests of honor during the Rain Day celebration on July 29, proudly representing Greene County in this meaningful local tradition.
