The Greene County Historical Society will mark a significant milestone in 2025 as it commemorates its centennial anniversary of preserving the rich local and regional heritage. History enthusiasts are invited to attend the Opening Day Rebellion Festival during the final weekend of April. The celebration will run from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, offering visitors an immersive historical experience.

Attendees will encounter reenactors and demonstrators showcasing various historical periods including the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, Whiskey Rebellion, and Civil War—creating truly memorable historical encounters.

While admission to this special event is complimentary, the Society welcomes donations from those who appreciate their preservation efforts. Various food trucks and venues will provide refreshments throughout the festival, and visitors can explore the Museum through self-guided tours to further enhance their historical journey.
