Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an evening of history, community, and hometown pride at America’s Big Birthday: Tales on the Trail on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Carmichaels Elementary Walking Trail.

This free family-friendly event invites guests of all ages to experience 250 years of Greene County stories through 19 student-led heritage stations, live music by the American Legion Band, interactive activities for children, commemorative keepsakes, and a patriotic community sing-along finale. Food trucks will also be on site with refreshments and festival favorites available for purchase throughout the evening.

A featured attraction of the celebration will be the America250PA Mobile Display. This mobile experience brings Pennsylvania’s Semiquincentennial celebration directly to communities across the Commonwealth through three engaging interactive exhibits. Guests can test their knowledge with Pennsylvania Pursuit, a fast-paced trivia game featuring Pennsylvania history and U.S. civics questions; play Keystone Quest, a retro-style video game adventure across Pennsylvania; and step into The Commonwealth Chronicles, a digital storytelling booth where visitors can record and share personal stories, memories, and hopes for the future.
