Celebrate Independence Day with a historic twist at the 4th of July Cast Iron Cookout at Ryerson Station State Park on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Held at the campground at 217 McNay Ridge Rd., this special America 250th celebration invites visitors to experience flavors of the 18th century as park staff prepare dishes inspired by colonial-era cooking traditions. Using cast iron cookware, the program brings history to life through food that reflects how early Americans might have gathered and celebrated.
