2026 Pennsylvania Bituminous Coal Queen Pageant

The tradition continues as the 71st Annual Pennsylvania Bituminous Coal Queen Pageant takes the stage as part of the 2026 King Coal Show, celebrating this year’s theme, “Remembering the Past.” On Sunday, August 23, fourteen talented young women will compete for the honor of being crowned the next Pennsylvania Bituminous Coal Queen.

Representing high schools from Greene, Washington, and Fayette counties, the contestants will showcase their poise, personality, and talents throughout the evening. Competition includes personal interviews, talent performances, evening wear, and onstage questions, giving each contestant the opportunity to shine.

The pageant begins at 7 p.m. at Carmichaels High School, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets and program books will be available for purchase at the door (cash only). Come out and support these outstanding young women while celebrating a beloved King Coal tradition and remembering the heritage that continues to shape our communities.
