Scott Covered Bridge

Covered Bridges of Greene County

Fall is the perfect time to explore the rolling hills of Greene County, Pennsylvania. Head out on our 77-mile road trip to see all seven covered bridges used to cross the creeks and streams in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Along the way, you will explore rural charm through town such as Carmichaels and Rogersville, traverse the countryside on dirt and gravel roads, and catch glimpses into the place we call home.

Experience Fall Foliage Along the Greene River Trail

Last year, peak fall foliage was reached in Greene County during the week of October 22 to October 28. Nonetheless, the entire month typically yields a spectrum of color as leaves fade from green and approach their best autumnal hues. Bricks and Legends

Back then, a college education included rolling up your sleeves and helping build whatever wall the college needed. Professor Alfred Miller put his students to work on the college expansion of the 1870s. They built a reservoir in the commons by digging clay that was used to make the 1,400,012 bricks for Miller Hall.
