Are you someone who likes to celebrate the fall season early? These September events are sure to get you in that fall spirit before it officially begins. From car shows to festivals and roaring engines to relaxing days on a farm, this list of events is guaranteed to kick the fall season off right!

Gospel Tabernacle Car Show
Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle invites you to attend a day full of cars, trucks, and motorcycles at the Gospel Tabernacle Car Show. On Saturday, September 6th from 10am to 4pm, stroll around to see many vehicles of all makes and models and eat some delicious food. Farm to Fork Greene County
Celebrate the farm to table movement at Farm to Fork Greene County! On Saturday, September 6th, from 3pm to 8pm, Thistlethwaite Vineyards is hosting an evening of culinary delights, live music, and fine wine made in house. Sample the wine and get a taste of delicious food sourced from nearby farms. Explore the beauty of the vineyard, shop from artisans and regional vendors, and enjoy interactive experiences. 50s Fest and Car Cruise
Get taken back to the past as 50s Fest and Car Cruise takes over Downtown Waynesburg on Saturday, September 13th from 10am to 4pm. Come explore the streets of Waynesburg lined with automotive history and beauty. Live music will be played by the “Greene County Greaser” and WANB’s own Doug Wilson. Rollin’ Coal Truck and Tractor Pull
Enjoy a night of roaring engines and fun at the Rollin’ Coal Truck and Tractor Pull at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Beginning at 7pm, Full Pull Productions, LLC will be putting on a show full of different classes and pullers. It will be a night you won’t forget!

Flashlight Drags
Join in on the thrill of good, old-fashioned drag racing with Flashlight Drags at the Greene County Airport on Sunday, September 14th. Watch how cars race down a 1/8 miles stretch down the airport runway with the start of a flashlight. It’s street racing without the risk of jail time!
Gates open at noon and racing being as 2pm. If you want to race, admission is $40. Spectator admission is $10. Learn More

White Covered Bridge Festival
Reel in the fall season at the White Covered Bridge Festival on September 20-21. This covered bridge is one of nine sites for the EQT Washington and Greene Counties Covered Bridge Festival. Enjoy a weekend of Civil War reenactments, the living history of the Native Americans, alpacas, and local gospel music. Grab delicious food made by many local non-profit organizations and enjoy the fall scenery that surrounds the bridge and festival itself.
The festival site for the White Covered Bridge Festival is at the State Game Lands adjacent to the bridge. Admission is free, and the event is held rain or shine from 10am to 5pm. Learn More

Carmichaels Covered Bridge
Why visit one covered bridge when you can visit two? The Carmichaels Covered Bridge Festival is also on September 20-21. This bridge is also one of many bridge sites in the EQT Washington and Greene Counties Covered Bridge Festival. Come see your favorite musical performances, eat homestyle food, make crafts, and visit historical exhibits.
The festival site is located at the Greene Academy of Art and admission is free. Parking for the event will be at Laurel Point Cemetery adjacent to the festival site. The event is held from 10am to 4:30pm on Saturday and from noon to 4:30pm on Sunday. Learn More

Mount Morris Car and Truck Show
Join the Mount Morris Volunteer Fire Department for their 21st annual Car and Truck Show on Sunday, September 21. Listen to the best hits from the 50’s and 60’s and admire all the cars and trucks in their beauty. Food will be available for purchase at noon, so make sure you grab one of their Chicken BBQ dinners or a hot dog! Registration is held from 9am to 12:30pm and is $10 dollars per vehicle. Alpaca Farm Days
Enjoy a weekend with our fuzzy alpaca friends for Lippencott Alpaca Farm Days from September 27-28. Meet the alpacas on the farm, learn about these gorgeous animals, and shop for specialty alpaca fiber products. There are also a variety of activities to participate in. This is a family-friendly event that everyone is sure to love and enjoy.
Admission and parking is free from 1-5pm daily, and there will be food available for purchase! Learn more

Wreck n’ Roll Demolition Derby
Get ready for the Wreck n’ Roll Demolition Derby on Saturday, September 27. Enjoy a night of high-impact crashes and the roaring sound of engines as Derby Dog, Inc. comes to the Greene County Fairgrounds to put on the show of a lifetime. Admission is $20 at the gate. Learn More

Gatsby at the Library
Get taken back to the 1920’s at the Eva K. Bowlby Public Library for Gatsby Night on Saturday, September 27th from 7-10pm. Slip into your best cocktail attire and dance the night away to live music.
